Looking back through earlier paintings is a little like opening an old sketchbook.
Some still feel exactly as I remember them. Others surprise me. I can see how my ideas have changed over the years, how colour palettes have shifted, compositions have become quieter, horizons lower, skies larger and my way of painting has gradually evolved.
Collected Works is an archive of original landscape paintings that now live in private collections. Together they tell the story of an artist finding her way, following one idea after another, discovering new directions and occasionally surprising herself along the way.
Although these paintings have all found their homes, they remain an important part of my journey. They remind me that every painting, whether it becomes a favourite or simply a stepping stone, has something to teach.
And, perhaps most importantly, they remind me why I still walk into the studio asking…
What would happen if…?
