Where The Jacarandas Bloom

Where The Jacarandas Bloom

Where the Jacarandas Bloom is an atmospheric landscape painting inspired by the fleeting beauty of jacaranda season. Beneath a sky of gathering green cloud, a solitary purple tree stands quietly within an open landscape, bringing colour and calm to the expansive space around it.

Painted in oil, the work explores the relationship between weather, light and memory, themes that run throughout my practice. The dramatic cloud formations create a sense of movement and anticipation, while the jacaranda provides a moment of stillness and presence.

Inspired by the Australian landscape and the seasonal spectacle of flowering jacarandas, this painting balances atmosphere with simplicity, inviting the viewer to pause and spend time within the landscape.
