This series of paintings developed from a culling of trees outside my studio window, all that was left was one single, lonely and spindly gumtree. My imagination took over and then developed this entire world ‘above the canopy’ – seasonal and light changes all contributed to make these pieces vibrant and alive with the colours of Australia.
