The Wind A Whisper Then A Roar

The Wind A Whisper Then A Roar

The Wind A Whisper Then A Roar presents a vast, sweeping landscape where the horizon rests low on the canvas, allowing the sky to dominate the scene. Above, a deep blue and teal sky stretches wide, punctuated by white clouds that move dynamically, windswept across the expanse. These clouds seem to dance in the wind, suggesting a restless atmosphere.

The ground below is a vast plain of bleached grasses that stretch out in every direction. Their colour shifts from light brown to soft pink hues, as though the wind has bleached them with time and elements. These grasses bend and swirl in the gusts, emphasizing the power of the wind as they reach across the land in a soft, flowing rhythm.

On the far left of the canvas, a tree stands in stark contrast to the soft earth tones. Painted in vivid hot pinks and pale pinks, the tree seems to reflect the wind as well, their slender trunks bending and twisting in a way that echoes the motion of the grasses below. The colours of the leaves, vibrant and bold against the more muted earth tones, create a striking focal point, almost as if they are infused with energy and life, caught in the storm of wind that pervades the scene.

The painting captures a serene yet powerful sense of movement, with the forces of nature subtly interacting across the vast landscape, drawing the viewer’s eye across the scene in a gentle yet undeniable flow. Following the aftermath of cyclone Alfred, I seem to be infused with the power of the elements, I think this feeling will be staying with me for a while.

The painting will be carefully packaged for its journey to its new home, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition.

If this piece isn’t quite perfect for your space, I am more than happy to discuss a commission based on this painting, allowing you to create a personalized work of art that captures your vision.
