The Red Road is a return to The Road Series with a colour palette taken from the Colours of Australia works, however this piece falls within the New Perspectives group. The painting comes framed in a natural wood floating frame.
I really enjoy dark intense colours and these new road paintings are offering a great way to use the colours of Australia. This series has the inspiration from the The Red Road by J K Ewers.
The Red Road by John K Ewers (excerpt)
There used to be a red road running o’er the rise,
Dippping down to fernland and climbing to the skies;
And there among the tall trees the sleepy shadows lay,
and the forest birds were singing there the livelong day.
Just a note, the glazing on the paintings and high contrast colours, make it a little difficult to photograph without glare, I’m sure if I was a professional photographer, I’d have no trouble at all!
If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will work for you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork .
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I do like to recycle when I can!).
