Romantic Reds – is a watercolour piece borrowing from the techniques of a wonderful Japanese artist – Yuko Nagayama.

Red flowers infer love and romance, hence the name of the piece.

I have liberally applied watercolour with large brushes and buckets of water to achieve the wonderful free effects which can be achieved with this great medium when you allow it to have its own way. I have used a light and bright colour scheme of pinks and reds to give a gentle look to the blooming of spring and how exciting is it to be able to display some colourful blossoms on your wall.

The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
