Love And Remembrance –  is a watercolour piece influenced by a wonderful Japanese artist I very much admire – Yuko Nagayama.

Pansies were used to represent love and remembrance in the Victorian era – hence the name of the piece.

I have liberally applied watercolour with large brushes and buckets of water to achieve the wonderful free effects which can be achieved with this great medium when you allow it to have its own way. I have used a light and bright colour scheme of aquas and purples to give a romantic look to the blooming of spring and how exciting is it to be able to display some colourful blossoms on your wall. This is part of the series in this style of works.

The painting is signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
