Held by the Light was created for Charleston’s Fine Art Auctions as part of my ongoing exploration of atmosphere, contrast and resilience within the Australian landscape. Against a dramatic darkened sky, a luminous flowering tree becomes the focus of the composition, illuminated as though emerging from the landscape itself. The painting reflects my fascination with those brief moments when light transforms the ordinary into something memorable.
