Golden Drift was created for Charleston’s Fine Art Auctions as part of my continuing exploration of weather, light and atmosphere. A vast golden cloud rises against a deep cobalt sky, while a small flowering tree anchors the landscape below. The painting reflects my fascination with scale in the Australian landscape, where a solitary tree can appear almost insignificant beneath the ever-changing drama of the sky.
