Ephemeral Blossoms is an original Australian mixed-media painting inspired by the fleeting beauty of cherry blossom. Created with watercolour and oil on canvas, the work explores the delicate balance between permanence and impermanence, where luminous blossoms seem to drift across a richly layered sky.

The painting is created using a technique I have developed over many years. The canvas is specially prepared to receive watercolour before multiple transparent layers of colour are carefully built and fixed one by one. Final passages of oil paint and glazing add depth and texture, creating a unique surface that combines the freshness of watercolour with the richness and durability of oil.

Signed on the front with Lucinda and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The finished surface is sealed with archival varnish, meaning no glass is required and the painting is supplied ready to hang.
