I’ve always been drawn to these in-between moments. They aren’t dramatic in the obvious sense, but they carry a quiet anticipation that I find endlessly fascinating. It’s that feeling of stillness before nature begins to move again.

For me, this painting is about distance, silence and the beauty of slowing down long enough to notice the weather gathering overhead.
