Bingley Folly – is a pen and ink drawing – a little retro I guess but they are really great fun to create. The drawing is framed with a 3D type frame in black with a white matt – ready to hang.
Pen and wash is quite an ‘old’ medium, in that it has been around for such a long time. When I was at art school I did quite a few pen and ink/wash works and developed them after I left. I didn’t really follow through the exploration of this gorgeous medium, so thought it was about time to revisit. I will be producing a series of these pieces with stone ruins, steps and garden follies as the subject matter using the old fashioned dip pen and nib, paint brushes and some of the newer mediums that you can add to ink to make it perform in a more contemporary fashion!
The painting is signed on the front with Lucinda and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Lucinda’s Studio.
