Crimson Nights was created for Charleston’s Fine Art Auctions as part of my continuing exploration of weather, light and the Australian landscape. Set beneath a deep midnight sky, two crimson flowering trees stand quietly together, their vivid colour glowing against the darkness. The simplicity of the composition invites a moment of stillness, where colour becomes the landscape’s quiet voice.

Rich contrasts of crimson, black and deep blue create a sense of atmosphere and depth, celebrating those fleeting moments when the last warmth of the day lingers beneath an approaching night.
