Purity and Innocence was created for Charleston’s Fine Art Auctions as part of my ongoing exploration of colour, light and the natural world. Soft washes of turquoise, blue and rose combine to form a luminous arrangement of blossoms gathered in a simple glass vase. The painting celebrates the quiet beauty of flowers and the spontaneous, fluid qualities of watercolour.

Delicate yet vibrant, the work reflects a sense of freshness and optimism. The transparent layers of colour create movement and light throughout the composition, while the floral arrangement evokes feelings of grace, simplicity and renewal.
