Selling Houses Australia

My Paintings Featured on Selling Houses Australia

I was delighted when four of my original paintings were selected to feature on Selling Houses Australia during the transformation of a home in East Ballina, New South Wales.

The opportunity came through Art Lovers Australia, who worked with the show’s styling team to source original Australian artwork for the renovation. Seeing my work become part of such a well-known Australian television program was both exciting and unexpected.

Original paintings by Lucinda Leveille shown on Selling Houses Australia during the East Ballina renovation episode

The East Ballina property occupied a beautiful coastal location but had remained on the market longer than anticipated. As part of the transformation process, the home underwent a complete refresh, with carefully selected artwork helping to bring warmth, personality and connection to the newly designed spaces.

Art Lovers Australia and the Power of Original Art

Art Lovers Australia has long championed Australian artists and the role original artwork plays in creating meaningful interiors. Their belief that art can transform not only how a room looks but how it feels is something I have always appreciated.

Working alongside the styling team, Art Lovers Australia selected four paintings from my collection to become part of the home’s final presentation.

The Featured Paintings

Time Is Never Planned

Time Is Never Planned by Lucinda Leveille featured in the dining and living area of a Selling Houses Australia renovation in East Ballina.

From my Exploring the Solitary series, this painting explores the unpredictable nature of life’s journey. Positioned between the kitchen, dining and living areas, it brought a sense of stillness and reflection to one of the home’s central gathering spaces.

Quiet Solitude

Quiet Solitude by Lucinda Leveille installed in a bedroom during a Selling Houses Australia home transformation

Also from the Exploring the Solitary series, Quiet Solitude reflects the calm found in moments of quiet reflection. Installed within a bedroom setting, the work contributed to the restful atmosphere created throughout the renovation.

The Sea to the Shore

The Sea to the Shore by Lucinda Leveille displayed in the East Ballina home featured on Selling Houses Australia.

Part of my Songs of the Sea series, this painting was inspired by the movement and rhythm of the coastline. Its connection to the ocean felt particularly at home in East Ballina, helping to reinforce the relationship between the interior spaces and the surrounding coastal environment.

A Desert of Waves

A Desert of Waves by Lucinda Leveille featured as part of the interior styling for Selling Houses Australia

This work explores the balance between movement and stillness, capturing both the energy and tranquillity of the sea. Within the transformed home, it added another layer of atmosphere and connection to the coastal setting.

The Role of Art in Home Styling

Artwork is often one of the final elements introduced into a space, yet it has an extraordinary ability to shape the overall feeling of a home. Original paintings bring character, warmth and individuality, helping transform beautifully designed rooms into spaces that feel lived in and personal.

The inclusion of original Australian artwork throughout the East Ballina renovation demonstrated how art can contribute to a home’s story, creating emotional connection and adding a sense of authenticity that cannot be achieved through styling alone.

A Personal Reflection

Seeing my work appear on Selling Houses Australia was a wonderful experience. As artists, much of our time is spent quietly in the studio, rarely knowing where a painting’s journey may eventually lead.

Watching these works become part of a beautifully transformed home was a reminder that art is not simply decoration. It helps define atmosphere, create connection and shape the way people experience a space.

I am grateful to Art Lovers Australia and the Selling Houses Australia team for including my work in the project and for continuing to support original Australian artists.
